How flexibility and effective sourcing allowed Auctane to complete an ambitious recruitment project

Auctane serves customers worldwide, and one of its key technology centers in Europe is its offices in Zielona Gora and Wroclaw.

Scaling the IT team in a tough market environment

Auctane approached Talent Place with a need to hire experienced technology professionals in Poland – mainly for offices in Zielona Gora and Wroclaw. Requirements included roles in the areas of data engineering, cloud computing and software development, among others. The project started with 3 roles, but quickly expanded to recruit a total of 13 people, including both senior and mid-level positions.

Over the course of the collaboration, requirements for roles, experience levels and available budgets changed dynamically. Talent Place had to rapidly adapt its sourcing strategy and communications with candidates to the new realities of the project.

Effective sourcing and rapid response to change

Talent Place’s project team consisted of three experienced recruiters, supported additionally by a recruiter on the client side. One Talent Place recruiter, who was directly hired by Auctane as internal support, also played a key role in the project.

Recruitment was based mainly on direct sourcing – as many as 50-55% of candidates were sourced through LinkedIn and Talent Place’s extensive database (more than 20,000 contacts). The team conducted precise preselections – for example, out of 150 applications for data engineering roles, as many as 70% were rejected already at the initial screening stage.

Results: 13 specialists hired in 3 months

Despite a limited candidate market – especially in Zielona Gora – and a hybrid work model (mandatory office attendance twice a week), the Talent Place team completed most of its recruitment targets in just 3 months.

Key results include:

  • 13 hired candidates for specialized technological positions
  • High quality matching of candidates, which significantly reduced time on the part of hiring managers
  • Flexible adaptation to changing project and budget conditions

From a flexible project to a long-term partnership

The Auctane project was an excellent example of recruitment conducted in a dynamic, changing environment, where speed and the ability to react quickly to change were key. Talent Place not only met its targets earlier than planned, but also gained the client’s trust to the point that further stages of cooperation are being considered.

The recruitment success paved the way for a contract extension and a potential continuation of joint activities on Auctane’s next technology projects.
